Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your information.
The short version: We collect your email so we can send you the newsletter and the blueprints you ask for. We use industry-standard tracking (cookies, analytics, retargeting pixels) to understand how the site is used and to show ads to people who've been here before. We don't sell your data. You can unsubscribe or request your data deleted at any time.
Who we are
This website (codykeegan.ai) is operated by Darkhorse Traders LLC, an Arizona limited liability company ("we," "us," "our"). Contact: [email protected]. Mailing address: [BUSINESS MAILING ADDRESS].
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Email address. When you subscribe to the newsletter, request a blueprint PDF, or contact us, we collect your email.
- Communications. If you email us, send a DM through one of our social channels, or fill out a form, we keep that record.
- Payment information. If you purchase a product or service from us (course, community membership, audit, setup, etc.), payment is processed by a third-party payment processor (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). We don't store full card numbers ourselves — we receive only the transaction confirmation, customer name, and email.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage data. Browser type, device type, IP address, pages visited, time on page, referring URL.
- Cookies and tracking pixels. We use cookies and pixels from Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook), and other platforms to understand site usage and to retarget visitors with ads.
How we use your information
- Send you the newsletter, blueprints, and other content you requested
- Reply to your messages and customer-service inquiries
- Process payments and fulfill product / service orders
- Understand which content performs (analytics)
- Retarget you with ads on Meta, Google, and similar platforms
- Comply with legal obligations (taxes, regulatory requests)
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
Email marketing
If you subscribe, we use Substack to send emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email or by emailing us. Substack has its own privacy policy — see substack.com/privacy.
Cookies and tracking
We use the following categories of cookies and tracking technology:
- Strictly necessary cookies — needed for the site to function
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics, to measure how the site is used
- Marketing / retargeting pixels — Meta (Facebook), Google Ads, and similar networks. These allow us to show ads to people who've visited the site.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. If you're in California (CCPA) or the EU (GDPR), you have additional rights described below. The cookie banner on the homepage lets you accept or decline non-essential tracking.
Sharing your information
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers we use to operate the business (Substack for email, Stripe / PayPal for payments, Google Analytics, Meta for ads, ManyChat for messaging automations, Cloudflare for hosting, etc.)
- Legal authorities when required by law (subpoena, court order, regulatory request)
- A successor entity if Darkhorse Traders LLC is sold or merged
Your rights
If you're in California (CCPA / CPRA)
You have the right to know what personal information we've collected, to have it deleted, to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" (we don't sell, but we do use advertising cookies that may qualify as "sharing" under CCPA), and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email [email protected].
If you're in the EU / UK (GDPR)
You have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, and port your data, plus the right to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
For everyone
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in every email or by emailing us. You can request your data be deleted by emailing [email protected] with the subject line "Data deletion request."
How long we keep your data
We keep your email and contact info for as long as you're subscribed, plus a reasonable archive period (typically 2 years after unsubscribe) for compliance and dispute resolution. Payment records are kept for the period required by tax law (typically 7 years).
Security
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information — encrypted connections, vetted third-party providers, limited access. No system is 100% secure. If we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we'll notify you as required by law.
Children
The site and our products are intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we'll delete it.
